The Police programme
	21 recommendations for uniformed police in 21st century Michal Tošovský & kolektiv autorů ISBN 978-80-87110-03-4, Praha 2007 The publication is one of the main outputs of the project Promotion of the community policing into practice of the Czech Republic police. In the publication we have evaluated the extent to which is uniformed police able to involve ideas of community policing into its everyday practice and we have offer measures, which the Czech Republic Police should not miss. The publication is not intended to be a guide for this change – its goal is to point out, that a change of style of police work contains different tasks e.g.police organisation, police education, evaluation and motivation of police officers, also in terms of legislative. Around 400 copies of the Czech version 21 recommendations for uniformed police in 21st century …was distributed among police officers, public administration representatives, MP´s and senators of the Parliament of the Czech Republic as well as journalists and academic workers. In the catalogue there are 40 projects, implemented during last ten years and which might be an inspiration for future projects that would contribute to social inclusion. 	Klíč k posílení Integrační politiky obcí – sociální vyloučení Romů a česká společnost (Czech) The Key to strenghten the Integration policy of communities – social exclusion of Roma people and the Czech Society Ivan Gabal, Karel Čada, Jan Snopek ISBN: 978-80-87110-07-2, Praha 2008 The analysis is a part of a broader programme of the Open Society, p.b.c., which aims to strengthen the integration policies in communities. The publication brings particular recommendations of integration strategies and was published in terms of The awareness of state administration and public administration - the key to strengthen the integration policy of communities project, which was funded from the EEA/Norwegian Financial Mechanism, Office of the Government of the Czech Republic and the Open Society Found Prague. 	Shadow Report Beijing +15 Shadow Report on the Implementation of the Beijing Platform for Action in the Czech Republic (Beijing +15) Editors: Petra Kubálková, Tereza Wennerholm Čáslavská ISBN: 978-80-87110-19-5 cz, Prague 2010 The ProEquality Centre of the Open Society, p.b.c. has released a new publication the Shadow Report on the Implementation of the Beijing Platform for Action in the Czech Republic (Beijing +15). The publication contains a summary of all 12 critical areas including the international level from the original extensive report Women and the Czech Society published in Czech language. The summary of the most important findings and conclusions is primarily intended for the foreign public and those interested in the state of fulfilment of the commitments in the area of gender equality in the Czech Republic. 	Manuál pro vedení pracovně-právních sporů v oblasti rovného odměňování žen a mužů (Czech) Handbook for litigation of labour-law cases in the area of equal remuneration of women and men. Pavla Boučková, Michal Hubálek, Adam Křístek, Martina Štěpánková ISBN 978-80-903331-9-2, Praha 2007 The handbook explains key conceptions of the subject (equal remuneration, equal work, work of equal value, direct and indirect discrimination in remuneration, employee, remuneration). Then it defines practical cases of direct and indirect discrimination in remuneration and possibilities to solve these cases in extra-judicial way. Next part of the handbook is dedicated to solving these cases per curium and describes single lawsuit stages of a case. Petr Pavlík, Ph.D. ISBN 978-80-87110-02-7, Praha 2007 The Methodology is designed for regional authorities that mean their commitments to fulfil government priorities serisously and understand the crucial importance of gender equality for economic development of cities and villages. The methodology is a guide for gender audit in state administration, and thus for perception and evaluation of gender equality policy in terms of regional authorities. The audit aims to improve efectivity of offices and involves analyses of personal and institutional barriers, which may obstruct gender policy promotion. 	Metodika hodnocení kritérií nediskriminačního přístupu k odměňování mužů a žen za stejnou práci či práci stejné hodnoty pro zaměstnavatele (Czech) The Methodology for Evaluation of Standards of Non-Discriminatory Remuneration of Women and Men for Equal Work or for Work of Equal Value Pavla Boučková, Michal Hubálek, Adam Křístek ISBN 978-80-903331-8-5, Praha 2007 The Methodology is aimed to introduce employers the principles of equal remuneration for equal work or for a work of equal value, without gender differences, due to law of European Community. Since the focal point of these legal regulations lies to a certain extent in a case-law of the Court of Justice of the European Communities, the methodology includes practical cases - analogies to practically solved problems as well. In the second part of the Methodology is a scheme of a procedure of how an employer can identify cases of work of a same value. This methodology advancement may serve for comparison of different work positions, where a work of equal value is performed and findings whether male and female workers are remunerated equally. The methodology contains different options of process to identify a work of equal value for companies with fewer than 50 employees and more than 50 employees, as well as practical tools that can be used for detection of direct and indirect discrimination in remuneration. 	Analýza odměňování žen a mužů ve školství: jak vzniká odlišnost v platech učitelek a učitelů? (Czech) The analysis of remuneration of women and men in the education system: where does a difference in salaries between male and female teachers come from? Ing. Petr Pavlík, Ph.D., Mgr. Irena Smetáčková ISBN 80-903331-6-8, Praha 2006 The aim of this study is a gender analysis of remuneration of pedagogical workers in education system. The existing differences among average salaries of male and female teachers and mechanism of creating these differences are surveyed by means of secondary data analysis and qualitative case studies of chosen primary and The implemented analysis of secondary statistic data gives a rough idea of a measure of gendered financial remuneration in education system. It also reveals that many of the relevant data, which are necessary for gender analyses of financial remuneration of male and female workers in education system, are currently missing. 	Shadow Report on Equal Treatment and Equal Opportunities of Women and Men 2004 The Shadow Report has been introduced to state administration representatives - gender focal points as well as representatives from non-profit sector and was made available on the web site of the Gender studies p.b.c. Having assessed the state of the things and analysed the Government Reports, the Open Society went on to set up a working group intended to carry on developing the concepts involved in the preliminary documents. These should serve as a basis for reports (prepared by both, government and non-governmenal subjects) on equal opportunities and equal treatment for men and women. Therefore, the project is meant to develop tools for assessing the results of activities, develop identifiers and crucial items inevitable for any such report, an alternative method of defining priorities, help define government‘s measures and develop tools for evaluating such measures.
